Pain on the inside of the elbow radiating into the forearm? Golfer’s elbow is treatable — with targeted therapy and load adjustment.
Book appointmentWhat's behind it?
Golfer's elbow — medically known as medial epicondylitis — is a painful irritation of the tendon attachments on the inside of the elbow. It is caused by repetitive strain on the forearm and affects not only golfers but also people with one-sided occupational or sporting loads. We combine unloading, manual therapy and targeted strength building to regenerate the tendon and prevent relapses.
Causes
- Repetitive gripping and throwing movements
- One-sided occupational strain (mouse, keyboard, tools)
- Poor technique in throwing or racquet sports
- Muscular imbalances in the forearm and shoulder area
Symptoms
- Pain on the inside of the elbow
- Radiating pain into the forearm
- Pain worsening when gripping or bending the wrist
- Morning stiffness of the elbow
